Dr Parker & James Schuler
Founders & Co-Owners
Dr. Parker and her husband, James, founded A Gentle Pet Cremation in 2021 with a commitment to providing compassionate and respectful aftercare for beloved pets. As both a veterinarian and pet owner, she understands the deep bond families share with their animals and the importance of treating every pet with dignity, gentleness, and care.

Together, Dr. Parker and James are dedicated to helping families through difficult moments with compassion, patience, and understanding. They enjoy working closely with families to ensure every pet is treated with the utmost respect throughout the entire process, helping make difficult moments feel a little gentler for the families they serve.

Outside of work, Dr. Parker and James enjoy traveling together and attending concerts whenever they can, valuing the time spent making memories with family and friends.

As a family-owned business, they are honored to support families during one of life’s most emotional times and are committed to caring for every pet as if they were their own.

I’ve been with A Gentle Pet Cremation since we first opened our doors in 2021. Being part of this journey from the very beginning has allowed me to help build a place centered on compassion and dignity for pets and the families who love them. As a pet lover myself, I understand how difficult it is to say goodbye to a beloved companion, and I’m committed to helping families through that process with kindness and care. When I’m not at work, I’m spending time at home with my family and our golden retrievers or out on the farm with our horses. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, which makes it an honor to help create meaningful final tributes for the pets who brought so much love and joy to their families.

I’ve worked in the veterinary field since 2019, and caring for animals has always been at the heart of what I do. Supporting pets and their families through both joyful and difficult moments has shown me the importance of compassion, patience, and gentle care. Working in pet cremation allows me to honor the unconditional love animals give by providing families with comfort, dignity, and heartfelt support during a difficult time. I believe every companion deserves to be remembered with kindness and grace, and I take pride in helping create a peaceful, meaningful farewell for each beloved pet.

I have always had a deep love and compassion for animals, and I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own. Growing up surrounded by a wide variety of animals, I developed a strong understanding and appreciation for their unique personalities and needs. My experience includes caring for farm animals such as horses and pigs, as well as household pets like dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, and bunnies. This lifelong connection to animals has shaped who I am today and drives my commitment to providing the highest level of care, respect, and compassion in everything I do.
